§ 250.02. DISCRIMINATION AGAINST HANDICAPPED PERSONS.

  • (a)

    It is the policy of the City that all handicapped individuals will be guaranteed equal access to services, programs, benefits and facilities under the auspices of the City and that qualified handicapped applicants will be given equal consideration when seeking employment with the City.

    (b)

    The City will implement a coordinated plan of action, encompassing all programs and facilities administered by the City to ensure accessibility to all residents.

    (c)

    Council shall authorize the City Manager to implement the provisions of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 for necessary compliance.

    (d)

    Council is authorized as the internal ultimate authority on all policies contained in the City's Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Compliance Plan.
