§ 1030.03. APPLICATION OF CHAPTER.

  • (a)

    After the effective date of this chapter, a private road shall not be constructed, extended or relocated, except in accordance with the minimum standards and requirements of this chapter. If an additional lot is proposed which will use such existing private road for access, or if an existing private road is proposed to be extended to serve an additional lot. The entire existing private road shall meet the requirements of Section 1030.04, and a private road permit must be obtained as provided in Section 1030.06.

    (b)

    The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to an existing private road which provides access solely to existing lots or existing structures, except for those requirements pertaining to names for private roads, building numbers and minimum lot frontage as provided in this chapter.
