§ 450.05. PARKING OF COMMERCIAL AND HEAVY VEHICLES.

  • (a)

    Definitions . As used in this section:

    (1)

    "Commercial vehicle" means a motor vehicle which is used for the transportation of passengers for hire or which is constructed for use for the transportation of goods, wares or merchandise. "Commercial vehicle" also means a motor vehicle which is designed and used for drawing other vehicles and which is not constructed to carry any load thereon, either independently or as a part of the weight of a vehicle or load so drawn.

    (2)

    "Semitrailer" means a vehicle with or without motive power, other than a pole trailer, which is designed to carry persons or property and to be drawn by a motor vehicle, and which is so constructed that some part of its weight and that of its load rests on or is carried by another vehicle.

    (b)

    Prohibition . No person shall park a commercial vehicle or semitrailer on any street in the City, except while making deliveries or pick-ups in the normal course of business.
